Bolton Street Synagogue is a vibrant and inclusive Reform Jewish congregation located in Baltimore City's Roland Park Neighborhood. The Marketing & Communications Administrator is a new and integral role at BSS and will report to the Executive Director.

Roles & Responsibilitiesincluding, but not limited to, the following:
• Weekly e-blast communications through MailChimp - Gather and place content.
• Bi-monthly newsletter – Create, gather, and place content.
• Write content to support communications and marketing efforts, including newsletters, website copy, brochures, and press releases.
• Ensure the website (through WordPress) is updated.
• Aid in coordination of the Marketing calendar among the Synagogue groups.
• Oversee all social media platforms for the Synagogue.
• Assist with outreach to press outlets, magazines, and influencers and build strategic partnerships to grow brand notoriety.
• Serve as a proofreader for other members of the team.
• Assist in streamlining our brand for a cohesive marketing approach.
• Additional office support as needed.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience
• Previous experience with graphic design components
• Tech savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, MailChimp, Facebook marketing, Canva, etc.
• WordPress or CMS back-end experience a plus.
• Experience with Livestream and Zoom preferred.
• Deep knowledge of social media strategy and building/maintaining social media accounts is preferred.

Location/General Conditions:
• Part-time in person w/flexibility to be hybrid on occasion.
• Ability to commit approximately 10 hours a week to the role.
• Availability to work some evenings/weekends/Jewish holidays

Hourly Compensation: $23.00-$27.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
